Current challenges of labor law in Spain and its practical application to the company
On May 10, 2018, we had the opportunity to give a talk at the Asociación de Empresarios de Tomelloso on the “current challenges labor law in Spain and its practical application to companies” by the labor law department .
It was followed by a Spanish wine in which we had the opportunity to chat with different businessmen from the region and learn about their main problems first-hand.
Without a doubt, it was a most profitable day for all parties with a high attendance capacity and on a theme that is constantly changing and that has a special direct impact on all companies who have hired workers under their charge.
The blocks that were covered were the following:
- The correct control of overtime as a result of the latest instructions from the Labor Inspectorate and the rulings of the Supreme Court.
- The contribution of professional contingencies and how to adjust to the criteria of the Labor Inspectorate, with special incidence in relation to Key A of exclusive office work.
- The correct use of temporary contracts after the latest pronouncements of our courts and the situation in which we find ourselves after the doctrine of Diego Porras of the Court of Justice of the European Union .
- Main labor news from our courts, reviewing resolutions that refer to the day on which paid leave should begin to be enjoyed, or to damages for the wage gap due to gender discrimination .
