Webinar “Lawyer, know your own liability insurance policy”
On May 19, 2022 we celebrated, sponsored by the Economist & Jurist, the webinar “Lawyer, know your own civil liability insurance policy”, where our colleague Carolina Cardillo Hernandez, head of the Insurance Department, was the speaker.
We made an approach to the general issues of this insurance contract, such as its form, the subjects and the purpose of it, giving examples of the different possibilities with which it is can find the insured.
We also provide practical information regarding the processing of the claim report, in the event that it occurs, with specific recommendations to avoid rejection by the insurance company
In the same way, coverage limits and the final amount of compensation to be received by the injured parties were discussed.
It was a participative day, in which at the end of it the attendees asked questions and issues related to the topic, based above all on the need to know if the insurance product that we have contracted adjusts to the needs derived from the particular exercise of the profession, for which we recommend a study and evaluation of the policy even before hiring it.
