Doctor of Law (JSD, LLM, JD). He studied legal specialization at Harvard Universities (PIL, Comparative Law), New York and London. He graduated in Law from the Complutense University of Madrid. Specialist in Criminal Law, International Criminal Law, extraditions and medical negligence.
He practiced law in the United States. at the Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle law firm in New York and later continued his professional career in Spain, having been Legal Director for the international area of the ITT Standard Eléctrica group of companies for 10 years.
Academic of the Royal Academy of Jurisprudence and Legislation; Fellow of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers (USA) and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (USA); international arbitrator of the American Arbitration Association (USA); Consultant to the UN Commission on Human Rights in Geneva and the Royal Commission for the Reform of the Criminal Code (GB).
He intervened in the drafting of the Draft Law of the Jury Court, having been awarded the Cross of the Order of Saint Raymond of Peñafort.

His work “Medical Malpractice” (Spanish Press 1976), was the first written on this subject in our country. Author of other later works: “Defenses in Medical Malpractice” (Dykinson, 1991); “The authentic Habeas Corpus” (Colex, 1992); “Comments on Organic Law 5/1995 of the Jury Court” (Dykinson, 1995); “In Defense of the Patient” (Dykinson, 1998); “The sanitary error” (Dykinson, 2003); “Negligence in aesthetic surgery and anesthesia” (2008), among other publications in Spanish and English.
